Janet, Kimberley, Chastity and your families -- it was with sadness that I read in Brandon Sun that Bernie passed away. I smile with wonderful memories of my years in Brandon and that I was the marriage commissioner who was the lucky one to perform your wedding ceremony. The day Bernie said that his life really started. I'm sending my heartfelt sympathy to everyone and there is joy in my heart that you celebrated more than twenty years together. A very special man and you will be able to cherish all the memories .... forever. Hugs, Colleen Olafson

The fish of the world are quite a bit safer today. He was always smiling and it was infectious. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Steve and the boys at Speedy

Bernie was a good guy with a neat sense of humor. Gone fishing in the heavens now. Condolences to the family.
