I met Bev through my work in the government relations field. A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to get reacquainted as Bev was recovering from surgery and my mother (Orma Gray)was recovering from hip surgery in the Assiniboine centre in Brandon. Mom very much enjoyed Bev's company as my mon, at 86 is a voracious reader and keeps abreast of world affairs. She and Bev had many good discussions on topics covering the waterfront. It helped pass the time for mom. Our family condolences to your Family. Bev lived a life devoted to public service; and she spoke fondly of her grandchildren.
Sincere sympathies

I just knew your Mom for a short time. She gave me a lasting impression that I will never forget. I met her in the hospital when she was a room mate of my Mom's. She was the kindest lady with the biggest heart. She had so much determination and never complained. I enjoyed visiting her everyday when I went and seen my Mom. She always let me know what the Doctors or nurses told my Mom or how my Mom's day was. What an amazing lady Bev was.
Sincerely,
Pat Wasylyk

Dave and I are so glad that we got to spend that week with her, Mel Kelly and a bunch of our other friends 6 years ago in Nashville, seems like only yesterday! We all had such fun...what a sense of humour she had. Loved the many conversations we had ...all of those problems and issues we "fixed"! I will remember Bev as a great human being and wonderful, loving Mother and Grandmother. You will be missed Bev. Our prayers go out to all you "boys" and the entire family that you all find the strength to get through this time. Sending love...Carolyn

After the tears have dried and goodbyes have been said all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we have shared with our loved one who have gone to rest in eternal salvation. This is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on through us. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. It was an honor to have known Bev and we will truly miss her. May God embrace you in comfort during this difficult time. Tony and Fè Gutierrez

So sorry to hear about Bev's passing. Condolences to the family from Ian and Elaine Thompson. I first met Bev when she lived across the street from us on Purdue Avenue back in 1974. We both had sons the same age so visited outside while our boys played together. I also had the privilege of teaching at least one of her sons in junior high at Deerwood School many years later and, of course, watching her (and voting for her) throughout her political career. May her family find solace in the memories that they have accumulated over the years.
