Obituary of Agnes Bilyk

BILYK: Agnes Margaret Bilyk (nee Burdynski) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Agnes was born on December 21, 1947 in Fort McMurray, Alberta. During her younger years, she helped on the trap line with her father and later worked as a housekeeper for the school division. Agnes married John Bilyk on August 2, 1979 in Fort McMurray, later moving to Dauphin and eventually Brandon. Agnes was proud to receive a plaque from Kin Village for over 25 years of residency. She enjoyed listening to music and loved to play bingo, board games and do puzzles. She loved to partake in social and spiritual events at her residence, Valleyview Personal Care Home. She often teased the staff there and they will miss her great sense of humour. Agnes was predeceased by her husband John Bilyk. She is survived by sisters-in-law Lena Hutsal and Doreen Bilyk and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Agnes' Life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Saturday, July 28, 2018 (today) at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Michael Raj Savarimuthu as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Agnes may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation "ICU", 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
