Obituary of Robert "Bob" Watson

WATSON: Robert (Bob) Francis Watson, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Brandon Regional Hospital, with his family by his side. Bob was born in Elkhorn, MB on March 18, 1938 to Arthur and Jennie. A few years later they moved to Brandon. Bob went to school and delivered the Brandon Sun in the south end for few years with the help of his pony, Silver. In his adult life, Bob was a certified Auto body technician working at Andy's Auto Body Shop in Brandon, later on in Pine Falls, MB and Calgary, AB. He moved back into Brandon to start his own business Watson and Son Auto Body in 1974. He enjoyed going camping to Vancouver, BC, Clear Lake, traveling to Hawaii, Prince Edward Island, Las Vegas and Ottawa; he also enjoyed his fly in fishing trips. Bob was a lover of all animals, he enjoyed riding his horse Dusty and going for coffee with his dog Harley. He was a member of UCT. Bob was proud of his grandchildren attending soccer, football, barrel racing and finally their graduations. Robert was preceded by his parents Arthur and Jennie Watson, father and mother-in-law Robert and Phyllis Olafson. Bob is survived by his wife Fay of 57 years, son Brent (Aleta), granddaughter Tiffany, grandsons Drake and Hunter, brother Jack (Elenor), Cory and family, brother and sister-in-law Murray and Donalda, Laurie (Steve) and family. A Funeral Service was held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers were Gordon Nelson, Art McComb, Bill Cumming, Pat Madill, Drake Watson and Hunter Watson.
