About 20 years ago I applied to be a police officer in Bradon, and I was lucky enough to have Aunty Marion there to stay with and show me around the city. Aunty Marion (and several other family members) were very generous with their time, and made me feel right at home in Brandon. One of my favorite memories from that trip was going to the family cottage at Sandy Lake. Other than the initial attack of mosquitoes, it was a beautiful location. I loved looking at all the old family photos and hearing about all the memories that occurred at the cabin. I feel lucky to have spent time with such a strong and independent woman, and have life long memories from that trip. She certainly left a lasting impression on me. Rest in peace Aunty Marion.
Loving regards,
Derek Hill and family

Marion was one of the most amazing people I have ever met! Spent numerous times at the cottage playing yahtzee! Never a complaint or spoke badly of anyone and always had a smile or her distinct giggle! RIP Auntie Marion you will be missed! :blue_heart::yellow_heart::purple_heart:
Our sympathy to the family.

Georgina, Kara & Trevor - I was heartbroken to learn that Auntie passed away. I consider it an absolute privilege to have know her and to have had her in my life. The time I was able to spend with her will always be cherished. She was as sharp a crib player as I've ever come across. She never let up and would always shut down my sarcastic sense of humor with her steely eyed look. She definitely was one of a kind. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for letting me be a part of her life.

A good friend of ours (best friend of Kenny) sent us these words after meeting a fellow friends daughter the night Marion passed. Kenny wanted to share them.
"The light in Marion's eye went dark...it didn't extinguish, her energy moved on, some here, some there, some everywhere, proof in your chance meeting with Stewies daughter...that wasn't odds, that was light...my humble thoughts"

I only knew her a few short years, but she was very much an inspiration to me. You became my "Auntie" as well and a huge part of my life. We will both miss you so much and your chair at the table will always be there. To all the family, she was a great lady and will be missed

Marion and my mum Irene Smart shared a lot.... they lost husbands early and were good friends, went to St. Mary's and volunteered at Fairview. As mum got more frail, she moved to Dinsdale, where Marion continued to visit and played Yatzee with her on a regular basis. Marion was always kind, so ready to share her garden produce. We still shared christmas cards and updates.... I will miss hearing from her this year. Ronnie and my brother Graham shared a few scrapes growing up. I will let Graham know, he lives in Comox now. With sympathy and love, Jeanne Mustard

I only talked to Aunty Marion once or twice a year, but we always had such a good conversation. She was always interested in how the family was doing. She was amazing, still walking to the grocery store most days at the age of 98 and her mind was still sharp! I used to say to her "when I grow up I want to be just like you". We are so glad you had such a long, healthy and happy life. You will be missed!
Love, Leslie Hill
