I remember growing up in Goodlands with Doug and his family. He was a bit older than i was but in a small community everybody knew everyone else. Dougs father was the local blacksmith in Goodlands. Those were good times in small towns. Mail nights in the summer were especially busy times for shopping and visiting.
Doug and Ella were a fine couple and great community people. Our families were very good friends with the Younger families.
Doug and Ella's family should be proud to be children and grandchildren of such good parents.

Bob, Gwenda, Pat and families; my deepest sympathies on the loss of your Dad. He was such a wonderful man. This picture is the way I always remember him. He always had a smile on his face. He and your mother were a wonderful loving couple. They were wonderful neighbours to Mom, Dad, Garnet and I when we were on the farm at Deloraine.
Sincerely,
Sherilyn Sorensen (Johnston)

I was the officer on duty who had the break the news to Doug of Ella's passing, I stayed with Doug for a while, at that moment time stood still, Doug took me on a tour of memories of his beloved Ella.
I continued to stop in for coffe with Doug, each time a new story of his beloved Ella.
Doug was very proud of their children, and knew in time he would be with Ella.
My deepest condolences to all of Doug's family as well as his many lifelong friends.
Rest easy Farmer Younger, I am proud to have you as my friend.

Uncle Doug was a good piece of our life. Dad and uncle Doug used to put hay up together for many years and shared equipment to work together in providing for their families. I have wonderful memories of Christmas's and visiting the farm in Deloraine and Rivers. Patty his daughter was a cousin and a playmate and cherish those days and memories.
My warmest and deepest sympathies to Uncle Doug's children Bob, Gwenda and Patricia and all there children, grandchildren. Also to his wonderful sister Lois and Dave Arnett and brother Marvin and Donna Younger and their children.
Love you all very much
Kelly Unger (Younger)
