Obituary of Jodi Bachmier

BACHMIER: It is with great sadness we announce the death of Jodi Arlaine Bachmier (née Oscar), friend and loving mother to Brittany, Michael and Jordan. Jodi died Friday, November 16, 2018 in Winnipeg, MB. Jodi was born on January 22, 1968 at the Brandon General Hospital to Art and Joan Oscar. Jodi grew up in Brandon attending Green Acres School, Harrison Junior High School, Crocus Plains Regional Secondary High School and Brandon University. She then attended the University of Alberta where she received her Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology – a career she loved. Most important in her life were her three children, Brittany, Michael and Jordan. Jodi is survived by her three children, Brittany, Michael and Jordan and their father David Bachmier. She is also survived by her parents Art and Joan Oscar, brother Chris (Colleen) Oscar, Aunts Lorraine McLaren, Gail Peacock and Uncle Norm Popien, cousins Lisa Jasper (Cory), Ken McLaren (Magda), Kevin Kopchuk (Lidja), Kim Kopchuk (Guy), Stacie Popien, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Anne and Frank Oscar and Marg and Harry Peacock as well as her Uncle Jim McLaren. Jodi's kindness, enthusiasm for life and loving nature will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. A private service was held on Friday, November 22, 2018 at Brockie Donovan Chapel. Donations in memory of Jodi may be made to a charity of choice. A special thanks to Kathy Lancaster for such a beautiful service, to Lisa, Brittany and Chris for their tribute to Jodi, to Kim for the poem and to Chelsey for her lovely song. We would like to thank Jodi's friends as well as all our family friends for their continuing support.
