Obituary of Ruth Emma Davies

DAVIES: Ruth Emma Davies passed away peacefully at Rideau Park Personal Care Home on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the age of 95 years. Ruth was born on December 2, 1923 in the North Cypress Municipality, MB to Albert and Mary Humeston. Ruth grew up and lived on the farm until she attended university in 1941. In 1944, Ruth graduated from university with a Science Degree. She went on to teach high school for 32 years in numerous towns within the province of Manitoba. On June 30, 1983, Ruth retired from the Brandon School Division. Ruth served as a member of the O.E.S for 68 years. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1997 and her grandson Kevin. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: son David (Darlyn) and their son Alistair; and son Gordon (Sheree) and their children Dawn and Amber. Cremation and a private family interment has taken place. Donations in memory of Ruth may be made to the Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8.
