Obituary of Rodger Daniel Walters

WALTERS: Rodger Daniel Walters (1926-2019). Rodger passed away at Valleyview Care Center on Monday, January 7, 2019. He was born in Kellvington, Saskatchewan on December 17, 1926 to Joseph and Minnie Walters. Rodger was raised and educated at Benito, Manitoba; later moving to Brandon in 1951 to work for his uncle, Harold Wright at H.E. Wright Ltd. In 1968, he started working for Canada Post, retiring in 1991. Rodger was an avid gardener, both vegetables and flowers. He also enjoyed traveling, going to both eastern and western Canada every year. Rodger is survived by his cousin Dwayne Wright and his wife Anne. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rodger may be made to Westman Dreams for Kids, 4- 940 Princesses Ave., Brandon, MB., R7A 0P6; or Central United Church "Piano Fund", 327 8th St., Brandon, MB., R7A 3X5 or at charity of your choice.
