Obituary of Larry Bourdeau D'Hui

BOURDEAU D'HUI: Larry Douglas Bourdeau D'Hui died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 12, 2019. He is survived by his wife Pat, son Brandon, daughter Brianna, stepson Nolan (Mindy), mother Josephine, brother Gerald (Cheryl), sisters Diane (Randy), Lorrie (Dale), and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father George and his brother Paul. Larry was a lifelong resident of Brandon except for a short stay in Winnipeg. He was very skilled in many jobs and has consistently used his talents to help neighbours and friends over the years. After starting as a paperboy, drywall installer and taper with his father and brothers, he landed employment with CP Rail, where he happily remained until his retirement. Larry enjoyed all sports, but especially bowling, baseball, darts, golfing and tennis. His talents as a bowler led him to a perfect 300 game, and he is now memorialized on the Perfect Game Wall of Fame at the Thunderbird Bowl. He also threw a 180 playing darts with his wife Pat, but unfortunately he only required a 170. Larry spent the majority of every summer at Otter Lake with his family, at the cabin he completely renovated head to toe. Countless good times were shared with friends, especially stories while around the campfire. He was always an incredibly hard worker and regularly had a project on the go. He was a talented woodworker, coin collector, and he loved his cop shows and procedurals. He liked to collect keepsakes from important moments, and talk about space and the origin of the universe. It would only take a good song coming on for him to hop up and start doing his trademark awkward dancing. He loved all the cats and dogs he had throughout his life like they were his own furry kids. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date. Grieve not nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as though I were beside you. I loved you so, 'twas a dream to be here with you. Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I follow the plan laid out for me.
