I just found out about Jasons passing. I was friends with Jason in my late teens to early-mid 20s, haven't seen him in years. I was just looking him up on Google and came acrossed this.
I wish to extend my deep sympathies to Jasons family and friends. He was a nice guy. I'm disheartened to hear of his passing.

Sharon, words can never express the sadness when you lose someone so close as a son.I know from watching my mom lose my brother 51 years ago and the hole it left in her heart. I'm sure you feel the same pain in yours. As Lucy and I watched the tribute to Jason tonight we both cried for you and Jason. There were so many memories flooding back to us both of you and Jason. The last time I talked to Jason was some years ago when he worked at Home Depot in Brandon and it always struck him how friendly and accommodating he was with people. He was and is a son any parent would be proud of and that says it all. He is having a well deserved rest and will awaken soon to a better world,that is a certainty. I didn't know Jason well, but well enough to recognize his kind soul and gentle spirit. Laid back and accepting...he always brightened my day when our paths would cross. A good person. So shocked to hear he's gone and my condolences to his friends and family.

I got too know Jason through my daughter Eliza as they were friends and coffee partners. It seemed wherever we had coffee there was Jason always smiling and ready to smile and greet you. I offer my sincere condolences upon reading of Jason's passing. I remember him so clearly as one of our students at George Fitton School. Although a somewhat shy little fellow, he was always polite, very well behaved and very respectful with a gentle smile just like his picture in the Brandon Sun.
