I just learned of Kiersten's passing today, August 14th, 2020
I'd like to take a brief moment to share some of my thoughts about Kiersten.
I had the absolute pleasure of being Kiersten's grade 5 teacher at Waverly Park School. I have many pleasant memories of Kiersten and that special grade 5 year...
The very first day of school Kiersten & I both wore the same shade of green sweater and when we posed for a typical teacher & student picture I had no idea at the time just how much I would come to enjoy being around the little dynamo that was Kiki/Kiersten.
We had such a good relationship that year that Kiersten & Maureen baked me a birthday cake in the shape of my Red Jeep complete with a picture of a chocolate lab riding shotgun with me as I often did with my dog Delaney. Kiersten was one of those people who was kind & friendly to everyone; when we voted to have a class representative, Kiersten got everyone's vote, every single kid voted for her!! I had never seen something like that happen in my teaching career that lasted 22 years.
Kiersten and I often joked about being short, Im not a tall man at 5'7"...
While we joked, internally I always knew that no matter her size, Kiersten was a powerhouse of a person; she was HUGE! Her personality & vivacious outlook made her, to borrow a sports analogy "She plays much bigger than her size!"
My heart breaks for the Stitt family and all of Kiersten's friends. I know that losing someone as special as Kiersten hurts a lot. So I wish you all peace and strength as you cope with your grief.

Stitt Family:
Kiersten was a shining light. I remember fondly our times spent playing tennis, working together at Whitehouse bakery and enjoying the magic that growing up at Clear Lake brings. Kiersten had a magnetic smile and energy and we are struggling to find the words to express how we feel with this news.
She was incredibly talented, funny, beautiful and kind. I remember she went out of her way to visit Chris in the Netherlands when he had a stopover on the train. They had a great visit for a few hours and sent me a photo of them smiling (all bundled up in winter gear). I remember thinking how wonderful and special this life is that two people I care about are able to connect across the world.
We will miss her greatly.

Hi, I haven't known Kiersten for very long, only as a face book friend. She was a beautiful delightful young lady that shared about herself. She spoke of her bipolar episodes and seems so lost at times and upbeat and finding her way at other times. I was praying for her hoping she was finding what she needed.
