Hi, Betty. Your Dad's was the Sausage store. And, yes, I remember the two of them loving to talk together. Your Dad was a kind man too. Thanks so much for sharing.

I was informed by your cousin, Marcelle, that Mr. Bewski had passed away....was so sorry to hear that! He was such a great guy, always jovial...and yes, the absolute best bus driver ever! I don't recall which store we were on his mail route....maybe the Pepsi store??....but he and my dad sure talked up a storm! The good times!
My deepest condolences to the entire family...he was a very special man and may you always hold every memory close to your hearts.

Where do I even begin to describe my Dad? He touched so many lives in different ways - even as a complete stranger who was never shy to strike up a conversation no matter the environment. I remember cleaning his bus; he took such pride in keeping it clean for the kids. I remember horseback riding together and all of the animals he let me have. Animals were also very precious to him, especially horses. I remember many a trip on the mail route, having to stop at each store (the Pepsi store, the Sausage store, and the Ice Cream store). He declared he'd go broke if he had to always take me along - lol. I remember, too, picking brown-eyed susans and tiger lilies on the mail route to take home for Mom. I remember him carrying me when I was little; I felt so safe in my Dad's strong arms. And he used to tell me bedtime stories, especially The Three Bears. Then one night I started correcting him, and he told me it was time for me to tell the story to him instead. He loved to sing, especially Ukrainian Christmas carols. I hope Mom still has all of the caroling song sheets he kept carefully tucked away. And he loved "When Darkness Is Falling by Boney M"; he asked me to write out many copies of it so we could add that to our repertoire as well. There just isn't enough room here to share all of my happy memories. But I can say how incredibly blessed I am to have had a Dad as wonderful, loving, and alive as mine. I can't wait until I get to heaven to dance the heel-toe with him again.

He loved life. He was a wonderful father grandfather and great grandfather. Very active in the community. Bus driver (trained his kids to help keep it clean), farmer, loved this Ukrainian upbringing (song and dance). Carolled for the church for years and every Christmas we had to sing Ukrainian and English Carol's. We grew up with horses cows chickens pigs dogs cats puppies and kittens and rabbits. He was loved by everyone whose life he touched. He will forever remain in my heart and I will treasure all our memories of him.

I have so many happy memories that we all shared in Ethelbert. Loved travelling around in the evening on the country roads and were all singing the good old country songs. Mike had a great voice. Also, the time I drove with Mike to get a tractor from Dominion City. The dancing on the farm on a Saturday night. So many great and funny times along our family journey.
We wish that God grants you all much comfort, peace and many beautiful memories of Mike to get you through this most difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Sylvia and each everyone of your family. Blessings, Shirley Tabinski & Family.
