Obituary of John "Jack" Rogers

ROGERS: John "Jack" William Rogers passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, on September 9, 2019, at the age of 72 years. He will be greatly missed by his wife Lesa, son Chance, sister Muriel Larson and family, brothers Hugh and Glen (Sandy) and family, brother-in-law Clayton Blackwell (Brenda) and family. He was predeceased by his parents Charles Arthur and Edna May Rogers (nee Fleming). Jack was born in Shoal Lake, MB., on November 23, 1946. He married Lesa Blackwell in May 1975, and they spent their married life living in Brandon. Jack worked for Coca-Cola for 35 years, and bartended at the Keystone Centre for 30 years. Dancing of all sorts was a huge part of Jack's life. Jack also bowled for many years at Recreation Lanes, and worked in the Legion canteen for several years. Camping, boating and fishing with his family was an important part of Jack's life. He always enjoyed a good game of cards. Jack was a people person and enjoyed watching people at the mall, and talking with people he knew while Lesa shopped. A Celebration of Jack's Life was held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Brockie Donovan Chapel in Brandon.
