Obituary of Campbell "Cam" Douglas Moore

MOORE: Campbell Douglas, better known as Cam, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the age of 82 years. Cam has reunited with Barbara, his soul mate of 63 years, and celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary together on November 12, 2019. Cam leaves to mourn his children: Doug (Debbie), the late Kirk (Tari), Lynne, sister Pat Sigmar, family friend Eleanor McCallum, all their families, and many close friends. Cam was born and raised in Brandon. Cam's entire life was devoted to helping others and fixing things, anything! For many years, Cam was owner/operator of East End Auto Wrecking, the mechanic and in charge of the junk yard! Cam was not only a businessman, he was one of the best husbands, fathers and friend to many. Cam was recognized for his many volunteer hours, mainly with the Canadian Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels and the Kiwanis Club. Cam loved to assist wherever and whenever he could. Dad's main passion was being a member of the Brandon Car Patrol in the Brandon Shrine. He absolutely loved the little car work parties, the many parades, conventions and friends that went with! Cam and Barbara together over the years enjoyed music, dancing, travelling to all parts of the world and the many years they wintered in California. Those who knew Cam felt his kindness and compassion for life. Cam always had a smile on his face, a story to share, an ear to listen or a hand to give. Cam always went out of his way to help others and to make people happy. A celebration of Cam's life took place on Friday, November 1, 2019, starting at the Brandon Cemetery for a private service lead by Vern Snyder and the Masonic Rights before heading to First Presbyterian Church where Rev. Laura Hargrove officiated, Drew Mills, a dear friend gave a heartfelt eulogy and the Heather Club ladies served a delicious lunch. Thank you for the cards, hugs, best wishes, love and support over this difficult time.
