I have had the privilage of knowing Don and yourself, he had seen me this past summer and what does he call me, not hi Sue.. instead calling me little Rita .HE WAS A MAN OF GREAT CHARACTER......Sandra, my condolences for your pain from Don's passing.You might have trouble recalling me, I have known you since 1978. Please know your husband was very helpful to my mother and always to me. Polite always, a hello, no matter how busy, or who he was with, never did he not stop and say hi, including yourself when we would run into each other. To all of the extended family my prayers and thoughts are with you all. The honor has been mine to be a pebble in a great man's life in Brandon. Be safe, be well, time and lots of different stages in grief. What makes a world of difference: is family and friends and quiet times to cherish. Susan McCabe McGregor. With gratitude always.

Dear Sandra, Darren, Leanne and families, please accept our condolences. It is a time of conflicting emotions; sadness for the loss and happiness for the memories. Brad and I have been struggling with how to mark Don's passing, for we can hardly remember a time when Don was not in our lives. Our families shared a rare friendship. As we grew up and moved away our visits were not as frequent, but we could count on a heartfelt welcome from Don each time. Please know that our thoughts are with you at this time and that we are here for you as well.

Sandra and Family I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. Deb told me and it came as a shock and I am disappointed that I didn't take the time to contact him more often.
I first met Don when I was trying to spare for the men's teams a the BGCC where he frequently asked me to spare. He always very kind and considerate a true friend and mentor. Later on in life although contact with him was less frequent any time I did interact with Don it was always a positive experience. He had a great personality and a man of character and I think that is because he was always interested in others. My regret is that I didn't get to see him more often.

To Sandra and family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Don's passing. Don ALWAYS took the time to talk with me and ask how things are going. I enjoyed walking the golf course with him at Tamarack this year just talking about everything in general. I'm going to miss not seeing him at the lake this summer. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and know you are in our thoughts.

To Sandra and family;
Both Caroline and I wish to express our deepest sympathy to you Sandra and the family in your incredible loss, no doubt made more difficult because of its timing. Don and I both shared a love of Christmas and Don had that "santa" presence all year long. He always saw the best in people and led by example- his honesty, integrity and professionalism were never in doubt.
I had the privilege of working with Don for about 12 years on the MTS/MTSAllstream board and the Audit Committee which he chaired. Like many others who served on boards and committees with him, he became not just a colleague but a friend. Don and I would usually end the day with a "night cap" reviewing the challenges and successes. He was truly "one of a kind" and the world could use a lot more Dons.
As you may recall, he introduced "santa" to the MTS Christmas get together and made everyone participate. I'll never forget his Christmas ties which he always wore in December.
Along with countless others, I will miss him but our lives have been greatly enriched by knowing him.

My sincere condolences to Don's family and friends...I have great memories of high school days at VCI with Don and friends; he was a great friend then, and it was no surprise that he achieved such respect and acumen in his chosen profession, and in life in general. I have not seen him in the intervening years but was always glad to follow his journey through mutual aquaintenances. I believe that everyone whose life we intersect with contributes to our life, and I thank you Don for our interaction. You will be missed by this old chum...Carol (Beamish) Yushchyshyn
