Obituary of Michael Yablonski

YABLONSKI: Michael Frank Yablonski. Mike passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Carberry Care Home at the age of 94 years. Mike was predeceased by his wife, Lillian and son Michael Charles. Left to cherish his memory are his son Alvin (Debbie), daughter Linda, granddaughter Correna (Reece), grandson Kiel (Laurie), great-grandson Mason and great- granddaughter Mya, as well as sisters Josie and Helen. Mike spent most of his working career as superintendent of water works for the city of Portage la Prairie. While there, he received numerous national and international awards for water treatment. Michael was laid to rest by his family on September 8, 2020. A memorial service will be arranged when safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R3P 2T5 or to the Carberry Personal Care Home, 340 Toronto Street, Box 2000, Carberry, MB, R0K 0H0.
