Truly a guy that loved nothing more than laughing at me 24/7 ...... Eli would wake up and think of things to bug me about, and why I enjoyed every second of his time. Tonight we reflected on playing hockey against Eli years ago and we all agreed he was the best athlete on the ice, game in game out. So many skills, and I know his family and the community will miss his laugh and good nature.

I remember when Elie and his family lived in Western Canada they would stop in at Sioux Valley and skate with us on the Assiniboine River back in the early 80's. They used tell us things and we had great laughs. We'll never forget. R.I.P. Elie, you will be missed.

When they lived out west his family and friends would drop by S.V.D.N. and join us on the river. Exciting time I tell you. It was always great to see and hear of them and their hockey stories. We will never forget.
