Mikey and Linda and I taught the junior racquetball lessons for many years in Brandon and I have so many fond memories of that time. Mike had the patience of Job with all the kids; nothing ever seemed to make him angry or frustrated and he always had that smile on his face. He was instrumental in bringing a Pro-Am racquetball tournament to Brandon and also the Canadian Junior Racquetball Nationals both in 1999. He and Linda and I enjoyed many a fun time in my backyard pool and in fact, Mike and Linda's wedding pictures were taken in my yard. He was such a kind, caring and sincere person. It is so fitting that donations in Mike's memory are to go to the Westman Dreams for Kids. Penny Pratt

Dear Linda,
I am so very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I met Mike when I was 11 years hitting the ball around for fun at the YMCA - he asked if I wanted to play other kids my age at a more competitive level. That started my many years involved with Racquetball, under his and your mentorship.
When I think back about those years, what I remember most about Mike is his passion for coaching, the sport, and the kids. His passion for the sport was contagious, and I really appreciate the time and energy he invested in me as an athlete and as a young person. I am a better person for it.
I will always remember Mike and the positive role model he was in my life.
My thoughts are with you.
