Obituary of Clifford Pawluck

PAWLUCK: Cliff Pawluck of Brandon, MB passed away February 24, 2010 at his residence at the age of 73 years. Cliff was born in Mozart, SK to Peter and Petrina (Pawloski) Pawluck, the third of six children. When Cliff was six years old, the family moved to the east end of Brandon and he remained an "East Ender" throughout his years. His employment at an early age was with Brandon Heating and Plumbing. He later operated his own business, "Cliff's Heating Service." He made many friends while being self-employed as he could stay and have tea with his customers when the job was finished. Cliff excelled in the sports of fastball, golfing and 10-pin bowling in his younger day. He enjoyed the outdoors, picking wild berries and looking for lost golf balls. Going to the casinos of Winnipeg and Yorkton was a pastime he enjoyed in his retirement, also making horseshoe nail cross necklaces. Cliff is survived by his wife Marjorie (Sowiak) of 45 years, his daughter Charlene Pawluck and her husband Vazz Linek of Winnipeg and son Jason of Brandon. Also surviving are his sisters Kay (Tom Green) of Victoria, B.C. and Olga Burdett of Winnipeg, brothers Ken of Brandon, Garry (Marilyn) of Salmon Arm, B.C., brothers-in-law Rudy (Ruth), Bill, Ernie (Thora) Sowiak as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bernie and his parents. In keeping with Cliff's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation can be made to a charity of one's choice.
