Obituary of Ina Rowena Avery

AVERY: Ina Rowena Avery passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre, Brandon, on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Ina was born in Roland, MB on November 13, 1920. Ina was a loving, kindhearted woman and very active in the communities in which she lived over the years, including Carman, Medora and Brandon. Following the death of her loving husband Howard in 1997, to whom she was married for 55 years, Ina resided at Hobbs Manor in Brandon, where she made some wonderful friends and enjoyed participating in several activities. Ina really loved to dance with her friends at Central Community Club. Ina leaves to cherish her memory son Dennis, daughter Janet and husband Ove Olesen, and daughter Gail and husband Grant Cassils; five granddaughters: Kerry (Mark) Furlan, Kelly (Dan) Murray, Kim (Paul) Murray, Dana (Conrad) Kelm and Tara (Darryl) Albrecht; and 15 great-grandchildren: Jessica and Grant Furlan, Mitchell, Doug, Brynn and Grayson Murray, Logan, Madison, Kelly and Eden Murray, Jack, Hayden and Hilary Kelm, and Andrew and Avery Albrecht. Ina is also survived by her loving brother Kline and wife Hilda Virtue. Ina was predeceased by her husband Howard, sister Eileen Raymer, and brother Morley Virtue. A private graveside service was held at the Brandon Cemetery on Friday, April 9, 2010.
