Obituary of Leslie "Les" Kille

KILLE: Leslie Clarence Kille, beloved husband of Muriel, father of Ron, Don, Rick and Randy, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 27th, 2010 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre with his loving family at his side. Les was born July 3, 1923 in Rapid City, Manitoba. After serving with the Canadian Army, Les went on to work at McDowell and Doak. In the 1950's, Les worked for Trader's Finance then on to Founders Acceptance. In the 1970's, Les worked for Consolidated Turf selling lawn and garden equipment to dealers in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He retired in 1992 and worked with his sons at the Colonial and Redwood Inns as maintenance manager. Les was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He made many friends with his various associations. Muriel and Les spent many great years in ACT and they enjoyed travelling to a variety of places in the world. He will be sorely missed by all. Les was predeceased by his mother and father, Victor and Alice Kille; his brother Stu Kille, and grandson, Jeffrey Kille. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Muriel; his sons, Ron (Mona), Don (Becki), Rick (Kelly), Randy (Cheryl); grandchildren, Julie, Erin and David Kille; Tammy, Brent and Tim Kille; Kayla and Kerri Anne Kille; Joey and Chris Kille; and Dawn Affleck; as well as five great grandchildren. A Celebration of Les' Life will be held at Central United Church, 327-8th Street, on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Mona Franklin officiating. A private family interment will take place at the Rapid City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Les may be made to the Brandon Family YMCA Capital Campaign, 231-8th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 3X2 or to the Brandon Area Community Foundation, DPO Box 22096, Brandon, MB, R7A 6Y9.
