Obituary of Walter Sydney "Sid" Ramsden

RAMSDEN: Walter Sydney "Sid". On Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, Dad left this life to join Mom in eternal life. Dad was born October 13, 1930 to Charlie and Margaret Ramsden. He was born and raised in Sandy Lake, MB, and was the youngest of nine siblings. Throughout the years, Dad worked as a mechanic and a security guard. Due to ill health, he retired from Government Security in 1990. Dad was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy in August of 1990, his parents, four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his ten kids: Gloria Tait (Norm), Carol Shinski (Murray), Barry, Don (Yvette), Brian (Betty), Randy, Lorna Blatkewicz (Blake), Linda Roseveare, Jeff and Kevin. He is also survived by his companion/caregiver, Patricia Yule, 19 grandkids and 12 great-grandkids. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2:00 at the Brandon Cemetery where his youngest son, Kevin, will act as urn bearer. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the George Brockie Fellowship Centre, 332-8th Street.
