Obituary of Wilfred James Goodburn

GOODBURN: Wilfred James Goodburn "a.k.a. Jumbo" of Brandon, MB passed away suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, May 26, 2011. He was born February 5, 1946 in Brandon and grew up in the north end, with a soft heart, but strong mind. Wilf went to David Livingstone School and he did many types of jobs, but worked hard in all of them. His interests were bowling, fishing, hunting and golfing, for which he received many awards. Wilf is survived by his wife, Marie-Ann Skryp-Goodburn, daughter Cheryl Wishira, step-children Tina McCormick (Keith), Donald Vivian (Cindy); Annette Skryp; sisters Connie Damsguard and Sandra Goldsmith, brother George Goodburn, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother, George and Clotilde Goodburn, and sisters Annette Chaboyer and Marie Kerr. In keeping with his wishes there will not be a service. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Wilf's memory to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200-17th Street E., Brandon, MB R7A 7M6.
