Obituary of Sheila Reynolds

After a brief illness, with family by her side, Sheila Reynolds passed away at the Brooks Community Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Barry Reynolds, and her three sons Jason (Candace), Winnipeg; Kristen (Melanie), Manitou; and Bradley (Rithy), Brooks, AB; her mother-in-law Jean, sister-in-law Susan, brother-in-law Randy, and her sister Margaret, Ontario. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren Ainsley, Melody, Chantelle, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Akyra, Dylan, and Robert; and nieces Amber and Alissa. Sheila will also be remembered and missed by extended family and close friends. Sheila was born in Moosomin, SK to Arthur and Catherine Tyerman (Stewart). She spent her 'growing-up' years in Winnipeg, MB where she met and married Barry, her teenage sweetheart. Sheila and Barry had three sons and, looking for a smaller community to raise their children, they moved to Brandon, then later Kemnay, residing in Brooks, Alberta in her last years. Family was important to Sheila, especially the children. When grandchildren arrived Sheila was in her glory! She loved playing with them and attending to their unique needs. Sheila also spent quality time with her mother, doing serious and fun things, and was devastated at her passing in 1999. Sheila worked at Woolco/Wal-mart for 35 years where she loved meeting with the public and working with her team, in Winnipeg, Brandon, and Brooks, AB. She met many challenges in the roles she played; learning and experiencing much over the years. Sheila was predeceased by her parents Catherine (Stewart) and Arthur, her brother Gordon, father-in-law Ken Reynolds, and sister-in-law Donna. Sheila will be coming home to Brandon for her service, which will take place at the Brandon Cemetery on Friday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m. with Arlene Robertson officiating.
