It's with heartbreaking sadness that I just learned of my adopted Grandma's passing. I miss her horribly and send our heart filled condolences to the family.
Connie and Rich's presences touched our lives in so many ways. All of them loving and tender.
I'm glad to know she's back with Rich now though and I can see their smiling faces looking down on us.
Much love to you in this very hard time.

My daughter Samantha and Connie got to be very close when Sam worked in the dining room at Victoria Landing. Sam was very sad to hear of Connies passing as she considered her to be like a grandmother to her.

I started Grade 9 at Neelin High School after 8 years in Kemnay's one room schoolhouse. Mrs. Davidson was one of the many wonderful teachers who helped me to adjust to my new school environment. She spent a lot of extra time with me helping me to improve my writing skills. Mrs. Davidson showed she cared about the progress each student made. Throughout my own teaching path I have often thought of Mrs. Davidson and her dedication and determination that everyone would succeed. Even a wide eyed girl from a one room school!

So sorry to hear of Connie passing.
We got to now Connie & Rich very well when they moved into the Colonial Estates Brandon.
Ken was the property manager and I was his assistant.
We enjoyed been invited to the appartment and having a cup of tea. There were lots of interesting stories.
After our move, Connie always kept in touch with her cards and special notes
Connie will be deeply missed.
Carole.

To Connies family
I was saddened hear of Connies passing .
She was one of those dynamic people that had a great influence on the people around her . I was fortunate to have a brief visit with her in December . Her paralysis limited her mobility but her spirit was strong as always .She is one of those people you will forever remember .

I am so saddened to hear of Connie's passing. She was a great friend to my mom, Margeret Carter, when they lived in the Harding district. When Mom was diagnosed with cancer,Connie was a wonderful support to her as she underwent treatment. After Mom's death in 2005 I stayed in touch with Connie. I always enjoyed receiving a card and letter from her. She was a kind and loving person...a true inspiration to many. May she rest in peace

I met Ms. Davidson (Mrs. Howey) when I was a student at Neelin High School. I remember her quick wit and engaging personality with great fondness. When I returned to Brandon (after having moved to Vancouver) in 1991, I was lucky enough to run into her on the street. Even with all the students she had, she remembered every one of us! It was the beginning of a good friendship until I moved away in 2002. I will remember her as one of the nicest, kindest and most honest people I have every met. Rest in peace with Richard, Connie - we will miss you.

We were very sorry to read of Connie's passing. She and my mother, Tilda Ames, had been friends and correspondents for a long time. When Mom passed away in '05 Connie and I began to correspond and share jokes. She was such an interesting person and interested in so many subjects and, of course, was a wonderful letter writer. I shall dearly miss her letters, jokes and phone conversations.
We will be making a donation to the Alberta Guide Dog Services of Alberta in Connie's name.
Sincerely,
Janice and Ian Barton and family

I was very glad to reconnect with my former high school English teacher through a friend of mine who was a good friend of Connie's. I sent her cards and visited her at the hospital before she got really ill. I always liked her as my teacher and credit her with my love of writing today-doing newspaper columns and sending out get well/sympathy cards to people in my church. She made English fun.
My condolences go out to all of her family.

So sorry to hear of Connie's death. She was a very good friend of my parents, Gordon & Barb Sefton. Connie was part of some of our family gatherings, and she was a friend to all, loved people of all ages, and really enjoyed a good laugh. Connie & my mom lived in the same apartment building, and then, briefly in Victoria Landing together. Connie dealt with many illnesses, but maintained her positive attitude and love of people through it all. Condolences to the family
