Obituary of Bonnie Lynn McAlpine
MCALPINE: Bonnie Lynn McAlpine of Brandon, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the age of 48 years. Bonnie was born on April 22, 1965 in Virden, Manitoba. She took Girl Guides and lessons for guitar. She enjoyed family camping trips and holidays. Bonnie attended Goulter School, Virden Junior High and Virden Collegiate. She worked at Child and Family Services Family Resource Centre for 30 years. She married Lloyd McAlpine at Trinity United Church. Bonnie loved kids and taking care of children. She attended every one of her children's school functions and carried this on with her grandchildren. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Lloyd McAlpine, daughter, Tracy, sons James, Jeremy, grandchildren Shelby, Nolan, Kendra, Marcus, Darrias, Dorrien, mother, Audry Gabrielle, sisters Gloria, Muriel, brothers Albert, Matthew, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was predeceased by her father, Harvey Gabrielle, step-son, Stephen, brothers-in-law Wayne and Rodney and mother-in-law, Elizabeth. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Sanderson officiating. Interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Felguerias, Noel Harding, Josh Gabrielle, Jeffrey Brown, Kenny Cross and Tony Gabrielle. Donations in memory of Bonnie may be made to the Elspeth Reid Family Resource Centre, 255-9th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 6X1.
