I have only heard of Dorothy's death this morning, and was so saddened by the news. She was a life-long friend of my mother's, Marjorie Collier, and I have many, many memories of her visiting our home. She was a part of our church family, taught me in Sunday School, attended my confirmation, and gifted me with a stole when I was ordained. I extend my condolences to her family, and pray with thanksgiving for the memories of her life.

To the family of Dorothy Broomhall.
Many years ago I was a Girl Guide Leader and also had all my children enrolled in Guides, Brownies, Scouts and Cubs. Dorothy was a legend, and highly respected then by children and leaders too. We know that feeling for her continued right to the end of her life. We are so sorry for your loss but hope you gain comfort from knowing how much she contributed to the development of young people in Brandon.

My sympathy to Dorothy's family . I have so many good memories of her from St. Mary's Sunday School & Girl Guides. She believed in guiding & gave so much of herself to it & her young Guides. The fun of camp at Clear Lake , with camp fires & her encouragement to achieve our badges & learn the values she believed in. She was a good person.

Dorothy's obituary does not mention any children. I think this is not because she didn't have children but because she had too many to name. Children like me, who were in her Sunday school class and Brownie troupe and who were truly guided by her example and her kindness. May she rest in peace.

She was a selfless caring woman dedicated to family, friends and those in need. She put others before herself, volunteering and caring for others to the end. We are proud to have had her as our aunt and will miss her kindness and caring. Its time for you to rest and be remembered by the lives you have touched. We are all better to have had you as a part of our lives. Rest in peace, "Auntie Dot."
