Obituary of Carole Grant

GRANT: It is with great sadness that the family of Carole Grant announces her passing in Brandon, MB, after an extended illness, on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Carole will be lovingly remembered by her beloved daughter, Lisa, son-in-law Rob and grandchildren, Sam and Sydney. Carole will also be dearly missed and forever remembered by her sisters, Tannis (Tom) and Elaine (Ralph) and brother, Buzz (Gen). She will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Carole was predeceased by her beloved parents, Harold and Beth Grant. Born in Winnipeg in 1947, Carole was the eldest in her family and survived childhood cancer when she was thirteen. After a career in banking and raising her daughter, she attended university to earn two degrees. She practiced Social Work for many years. She was an avid reader and a dedicated animal advocate. Her hand crafts were exquisite and Carole’s crocheted blanket creations and mosaic pieces were lovingly handcrafted with each recipient in mind. In keeping with Carole’s wishes there will be no memorial service. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Carole to D’Arcy’s A.R.C., 730B Century Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3H 0M1, (www.darcysarc.ca/pd.html).
