I’m so sorry for your loss of such a very Special and Kind lady. Although our paths hadn’t crossed in a very long time when we did meet it was always such a nice visit, her memory astounded me. I still have the sweater she knitted for my son Keelan some 33 years ago, it’s a Treasure. Please know your all in my Thoughts and Prayers.

Our deepest sympathies to the Martens family.
It’s been 50 years since I visited the Martens farm as a kid. My parents Frank and Georgette Mestdagh knew a lot of farmers, and it was always a treat for us city kids to take a trip to the farm. Although I was only 7 years old when you moved to Brandon, I still have some memories of your farm. The drive to places like Treherne or Holland were all pretty flat and uninteresting, but the drive out to your farm had more hills, and the escarpments in the distance were very pretty. I seem to remember your farm had a windmill that I think pumped water into a trough? Your Mom and Dad were wonderful people. Word of your father’s passing in 2017 unfortunately never made its way to us, or we would have reached out. I will pass the news on to my siblings. May they both rest in peace.
Ron and the rest of the Mestdaghs.

We have fond memories of Antoinette over the years. As a youngster, I thought Antoinette was a high classed lady as she was so well 'put together'! She always loved visiting and hearing about our lives. She had a sharp mind and could recall all kinds of events. I admired her (and Gerry's) ability to accept whatever came their way. Her hospitality was genuine. You could not leave her table without some wonderful goodies. We send our sincere condolences to the family of Antoinette. We keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. May she (and Gerry) rest in peace.
