Born in Brandon, MB to William Zink and Dorothy Cochrane (Roddick), Debbie also spent part of her childhood in Gimli, MB where she graduated high school and met her husband, Patrick. She was known for her magnetic butterflies, slippers, dishcloths, Christmas items and winter gear that she donated to those in need. She was a Winnipeg Jets fan and enjoyed watching their games since their return to Manitoba. Debbie was very involved in her sons’ early education and activities, creating learning opportunities and fundraising events at their school around initiatives they were interested in.
