WALKER: Leona Walker, “Binasi Gabbowick” passed away peacefully with family by her side at Fairview Personal Care Home on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 81 years. Leona will be lovingly remembered by her partner, Robert; children, Shelley (Barry), Lindsay, Beverley, Keith (Alana), Hazel, Brian, Helen (Doug), James (Gloria) and Maxine. Leona will be predeceased by her parents, Lucy and Louis Walker; sons, Eric Travis Merrick and Dwayne Robert Walker (Millie); the father of Leona’s nine children, Max Merrick and father of two of Leona’s children, Mick Walker; sister, Ramona; brothers, Arnold and Calvin. A private family service will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel with interment to follow at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Leona may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 4B-457-9th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 1K2.
