Lynne, I have no words to extend to you that would make this time less difficult. It is one of life`s mysteries why those whom are loving and have so much to give to the world are taken too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his family. I wish you strength and peace in the days to come knowing Jeff will always be here in memory.

Janet, Hailey, Emma, Ava and Mackenzie,
Noreen and I are still in shock. We are grateful to have been able to share the ceremony virtually with you and the family that was able to attend. We send our heartfelt condolences to all of you during this extremely difficult time. Jeff and I served together many times throughout our careers from Subies in 2 RCHA to course mates on our BC's course. We also remember with great fondness the many times outside of work where we all got together to have a few drinks and share many laughs and good times from campfires to military functions and are very glad to have been there when you and Jeff said your I do's. God speed Jeff, you will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Janet, you and the girls will always have our friendship and support. If there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to call on us.
Love,
Tim and Noreen

Lament your loss — it was great working with you the past two years since your arrival in the summer of '19. Your work keeping the Base operational during a pandemic is to be commended. Will cherish the memories I have being your photographer at events on Base, plus the many awards and honours ceremonies you presided over as BComd. And your sense of humour during the Base Christmas luncheon, sharing your dress jacket with the youngest soldier on the Base while your BRSM CWO (Ret'd) James Doppler did the same with the oldest soldier on the Base. The ensuing moments are but a snapshot of your working days at the helm of CFB Shilo. Memories I saw thru my Nikons, and those images I'll compile and provide for your family to take with them from their time here in Manitoba. Because of the pandemic, there were a lot more photos of you masked because of COVID-19 protocols when Manitoba went Code Red. It was nice having your awards and honours events outdoors, making use of the HQ backdrop and signage. And following a Remembrance Day ceremony on Base, you later that same day attended the Brandon Wheat Kings game and were at centre ice saluting during the national anthem, two Shilo minor hockey products also there to drop the ceremonial puck. You posed for the flu shot, showing leadership taking the lead on the military Get Your Shot health campaign. Most of all, you always took a few moments to speak to the soldiers and civilians around you following a cheque presentation or after pinning a medal or offering one of your BComd coins for a soldiers' dedication to duty and a job well done. You will be missed!

On behalf of the Home Station Regimental Senate, please accept our sincere condolences on Jeff's passing. I was fortunate to work with Jeff on several occasions: first, when I was CO 1 RCHA and Jeff was in B Battery. Next, when working as a contractor in Ottawa, and Jeff was in Headquarters Canadian Joint Operations Command. In both those roles, Jeff came across as a highly professional artillery officer. Finally, when Jeff became commander Home Station, I had the pleasure of working with him to advance our Senate initiatives. Jeff was a strong supporter of the Senate and it became highly evident to me during our time together that he was totally dedicated the welfare of CFB Shilo members and their families. His passing will be a great loss, not only to the Royal Regiment, but also to CFB Shilo and the local community. Ubique, Colonel Peter Williams (Ret'd), President, The Home Station Regimental Senate

On behalf of all ranks of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery School, please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of Jeff. I had the privilege to be in the same squadron as Jeff at RMC and then serve with him in 2 RCHA. Our paths have crossed many times throughout our career and I know that he will be missed and that we all share in your loss. He was a role model officer that so many of us looked up to. Janet, Hailey, Emma, Ava and Mackenzie, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Janet and the girls. My thoughts are with you all as you navigate through this difficult time.
LCol. Lyttle was someone you immediately felt at ease with.
One of my favourite memories is when he, Jim Doppler and myself went to Ottawa in September of 2019 for an MFS governance review meeting. I think we had only met once or twice before then but he invited me over to Sunday dinner with his parents. That shows what kind of man he was.
He will be missed.
