Alice, Chad, Renee....and all of your families. . My heartfelt condolences are with you at this time. A monumental loss we have suffered with Ernie’s passing. I know he would not want all the tears... even though he was a man of many tears. And a man of many smiles, and laughter, and joy, and kindness. One of the kindest men I have ever known. So many memories but here I will just share two along with a couple of pics. My wedding day in 1999. My father had passed years earlier. Ernie stepped up to the plate and rode me in on his shiny motorcycle. What a day that was. Ernie was a man of style as well! The second photo- My aunt had come for her very first visit to Canada. Somewhere around 2002. She was a somewhat harsh (a little scary) woman from Holland. It was the first time I had met her myself. Anyhow Ernie rolled up on his motorcycle and took her for a ride. Well she had a smile on her face from ear to ear after that little visit. He brought her out of her shell. Ernie had a way with everyone. Making them feel at home and special. I will miss him every day. Until we meet again you incredible man.
