Obituary of James Onslow

ONSLOW:  James Dennis. Jim was born on October 6, 1947 in Deloraine, Manitoba and passed away on August 3, 2021 in Brandon, Manitoba. Jim is remembered by his sister, Sheila and her husband, Dragan Jovanovic; his niece, Sonja and her husband, Matt Walters and their son, George; his great-nephew, Dragan and his mom, Sandra Jovanovic;  as well as first cousins, Jack, Ron, Ila, Linda, Floyd, Mona, Shirley, Brian, Rick, Vivian, their spouses and families. Jim has joined his family members who went before him, his parents, Joseph and Nora Onslow; his cousins Bob Miller, Robert and Gerald Rennie, his nephew, Jovan Jovanovic and his aunts and uncles from the Onslow, Miller, Siddle and Rennie families. Jim was a quiet person who was comfortable in familiar company and surroundings. He passed his time listening to his radio favorites swap n shop and old time music, as well as watching sport games and musical shows on TV. Jim was residing in Winnipeg House and really benefited from the community experiences there. He walked to the Avis’ center frequently to participate in the activity. The Community Service Workers who attended to Jim on regular schedules were wonderful.  Jim's family extends their endless appreciation for all the kind care, car rides to and from events, special care packages, ordering delivery of meals and treats. Thank you for everything that you did and gave to make Jim feel cared about. A graveside service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
