I have been searching my brain for the proper way to put my feelings into words, but there aren’t coming, which is fine because it feels like my breath has been caught in my throat since I found out about Michelle’s passing.
She was one of my oldest & closest friends. We worked at more than one company together and have the many inside jokes and years of “dropping her off at the tavern after work” to prove it.
Our friendship grew out of many things, one of them being our love and loyalty for certain television programs (and possibly the Twilight books/movies- but you’d be hard pressed to get us to admit that to too many people). Supernatural, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Wynonna Earp, Grey’s Anatomy etc , we watched separately and then reviewed in detail in the days that followed - analyzing where we thought the plot was going and what we thought the writers should do ( and I think we had better ideas than half of those we saw on the screen).
Anyone that was lucky enough to know her, knew about her love for animals. I can remember spending many hours, possibly “working hours”, scrolling through webpages of the local rescues with her to look at all the amazing animals, daydreaming along with her that one might be a perfect “pet sibling” for Parker. Scholtz (sp), Parker and most recent Knut were her babies and if you knew her well you knew that she loved and doted on them as much as anyone could. I have no doubt that she still has Scholtz and Parker by her side where she is now.
I guess I have more to say than I thought years of stories that come flooding in all at once and sometimes just pop up at the oddest moment because of a song or a smell or those darn “Facebook memories”. Memories that bring a smile to my face, generally followed by tears or a twinge of the heart- I’m sure I’m not the only one, she was so awesome and knew so many people.
It all boils down time, her time was cut far too short and without any time for those of us that loved her to have a chance to say a proper goodbye so we move forward and hope to spend the time we have left doing what we love and chasing our dreams, in honour of her- and of course raising a pint to the memory of a dear friend from time to time.
Michelle you were one of the best people I have ever known and you brought out the best in me, by just letting me be me, I love you and miss you.

I had only spent one day with her during a training day. She was such a easy person to get to know and like. We had many laughs during our brief meeting. She was someone I felt you could become fast friends with. I was so shocked and saddened to hear of her passing, as I am sure many others were. I am sending my heartfelt condolences to her friends and family.

My heart hurts so deeply knowing you are gone Michelle, even though I hadn’t seen you in quite some time. You were always one of my favorite clients, I considered you a friend. My thoughts are with Berkeley and your family and friends, I’m truly so sorry that you were taken from them before your time.
