Obituary of James Peter Reimer

JAMES PETER REIMER

May 10, 1954 – Nov 24, 2021

            James Peter Reimer AKA Jimmy passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 67 years.

            Jimmy is predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Peter; sister, Jean, and brother, Brian.  Jimmy is survived by his wife, Arlene; daughters, Sami and Jami; grandsons, Jaxx and Hendrixx and sisters, Jeanne (Rikk), Janet (Jim), Trish, and sister in law Karen.

            Jimmy was born on May 10, 1954 in Winnipeg, MB.  In the 70’s, Jimmy moved to Melita, MB, then moved to Brandon, MB where he met the love of his life Arlene in the 80’s.  They married on June 30, 1984 in Winnipeg, MB before starting their family.

Jimmy enjoyed fishing, the cabin, golfing, kayaking, motor bikes, and his love for vehicles.  Music was a huge part of his life, between blues, rock, and country there are so many songs that will keep his presence alive.

             For many years Jimmy drove school bus for the Brandon School Division. Jimmy loved driving and interacting with people which lead him to driving taxi for several years before resuming his career within the school division of Southwest Horizon at Wawanesa School. Jimmy worked as a custodian and educational assistant for 6 years where he had touched many hearts and made many friends with his infectious personality before retiring in December of 2020.
