Obituary of Agnes Wenger

WENGER (GOODWILL): Agnes. 1919 - 2021.

Agnes Wenger (Goodwill) passed away peacefully at the Wawanesa Health Centre on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 102 years. Agnes was the wife of the late, Fred Wenger and Bill Goodwill; mother of Carole (Gordon), Joan (Joe – deceased), Eleanor (Darryl) and Wanda.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husbands, Fred and Bill, her mother and father, one sister, five brothers, one son-in-law, a grandson and a granddaughter. Cremation has taken place. No formal service will be held. A private family burial will take place. Donations in memory of Agnes may be made to a charity of choice.

 

When I come to the end of my journey

and I travel my last weary mile,

just forget if you can, that I ever frowned

and only remember the smile.

Forget the unkind words I have spoken;

Remember some good I have done.

Forget that I ever had heartache

And remember I’ve had loads of fun.

Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered

and sometimes fell by the way.

Remember I have fought some hard battles

and won, ere the close of the day.

Then forget to grieve for my going.

I would not have you sad for a day,

but in summer just gather some flowers

and remember the place where I lay,

and come in the shade of evening

when the sun paints the sky  in the west.

Stand for a few moments beside me

And remember only my best.
