Nancy, Ted, Stephen, Austin, and all who loved Peter - Please do accept Heather and I's most sincere condolences at Peter's sudden (and much too soon) passing.
Since we heard the news, I've been remembering lots of the great memories I was lucky enough to share with Peter from our time together growing up. Lots of video games (he usually won), lots of pool (he almost ALWAYS won) and always lots and lots of laughs. Peter was a combination of: tough skinned, big hearted, a loud laugher, a great cook, a lover of animals, and while he wouldn't always verbalize his affection for those around him, he would demonstrate his love in his actions in ways that were perhaps less obvious, but nonetheless enjoyed and appreciated.
Thinking of my memories with Peter still brings a smile, but for the moment often triggers a tear at the thought that the chance to build new memories is gone., With that being said, I feel like if Peter saw that I was sad, he'd probably smirk in his predictable way, perhaps roll his eyes sarcastically at me, and pass me the controller to start the next game together. It is these memories that I will cherish and which I wish we had made more of together.
You were loved Peter - and we know you loved us too - but we just didn't need to talk about it ;) (you are still the Captain though lol - and no one would find that funny but you and I lol). I'm sure you're already helping Grandma in the kitchen while waiting for wrestling to start.
You will be missed and thank you for the time you had with us all.
