HUSTON: Sylvia Huston passed away peacefully at Rideau Park Personal Care Home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the age of 102 years. Sylvia was born in Dayspring, Nova Scotia and grew up in Halifax. She met her husband Meredith in Halifax during WWII and together the two moved to Winnipeg in 1958. Sylvia enjoyed baking, cooking and entertaining family and friends. She was very artistic and enjoyed travelling around the world to Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia to name some. Sylvia is survived by her 2 sons, John (Florette) of Brandon and Grant (Cathy) of Calgary, 2 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 2016 and five sisters.
A Celebration of Sylvia’s Life will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332 8th Street, Brandon, MB on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
