Obituary of Elizabeth Duncan

DUNCAN: Elizabeth Ann (Horne) Duncan, born on December 10, 1942, passed away on September 7, 2022 at the age of 79. Elizabeth was predeceased by her father John Horne, her mother Edith (MacMillan) Currie, and her sister Beulah. She is survived by her sisters Norma, Beverly, and Sharon; her children Norman (Grace) Duncan, Grant Duncan, Cheryl Duncan, Donna Marsh, and Melissa (Dan) Schwartz; her grandchildren Bryce (Courtney), Austin (Rachel), Danielle (Dom), Katherine (Tyler), Caleb (Tiffany), Janelle (Brett), Joshua (Randi), Taylor, and Mackenzie (Hailee); and her great-grandchildren Jasper, Judah, Clayton, and Bryson. Elizabeth’s Christian faith was important to her, as was her work as a crisis counsellor. Her work took her to many places with interesting stories from each trip. She liked a good cup of tea, and her favourite was Red Rose. She enjoyed crafting and making gifts. A service will be held at Rivers Community Church, 447 Edward Street, Rivers, MB (the corner of Edward Street and Fifth Avenue) on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. A time of visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Rivers Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Wheels of Hope.
