I remember Mr. Jonasson as my Science teacher in Elementary School. I recall him as being friendly and approachable, willing to answer my science related questions outside of class time even if my question was not related to anything we were studying at the time.
My condolences to the family.

Just received the sad news here in Arizona of Ralph’s passing. He was such a great colleague at MCI.
In my first year teaching at MCI, he was very encouraging. and made me feel so very welcome! I’ll never forget hosting my first staff party how Ralph shed the quiet demeanour he showed at work and cut loose and assumed the role as life of the party! EG. Forming a Congo Line! Also, when I coached the midget hockey team in that first year, he found out about about some expenses I was incurring and took it upon himself to call a meeting of the players and took a collection from them to cover these.
Rest In Peace, old friend.
Heartfelt condolences to friend Ryan . Also to Marg, Jenny, and Larry.

I remember not understanding a concept in his class. I was struggling with it for a while and though I never said anything to him about it, he knew. One day I was the last person walking out of the classroom and he walked over to me in his quiet way and assured me that I would “get it” and I shouldn’t be discouraged. He believed in me. I’ve thought of that many times over the years and always get a little choked up when that memory comes to mind. I was in grade nine, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget that.
My condolences to the entire Jonasson family.

Marg, Larry, Ryan, Jenny and families,
My sincere sympathy to all of you at this time of Ralph's passing. I so enjoyed him as a coworker when he was teaching at MES and, as a friend and neighbour, over the many years your family lived on Woodlawn Drive in MacGregor. Such good times and fond memories. I always appreciated his friendship, cheery smile, and sense of humour. May the love and caring of family and friends be of comfort now and in the days ahead. Treasure all your great memories.
Love and Hugs,
