Obituary of Myrna Leigh Armstrong

 

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Myrna Armstrong on March 19th, 2023 in Brandon, Manitoba. Myrna was a beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother.

 

Myrna was born in Hamiota, Manitoba on April 20th, 1958. She was the second youngest out of four siblings. Myrna lived in various communities in Manitoba growing up in Cardale, Foxwarren, Virden and finally settling in Brandon, Manitoba. Myrna graduated from Crocus Regional High School, class of 1976.

 

Growing up Myrna enjoyed camping, riding on boats and going to the family cabin in Otter Lake and in the Pas. She enjoyed traveling to Mexico with her sister Lynda and traveling through Europe with her husband George.

 

Myrna worked many years as a kitchen aid at the Brandon hospital before switching careers and working at the Comfort Inn for 8 years before retiring.

 

Myrna loved reading books, card games and putting together puzzles. She enjoyed the softer rock bands such as the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and April Wine.

 

Myrna is survived by her husband of 37 years George; son Alan; granddaughter Leighlani; son Joseph (Chantel); granddaughter Everleigh; sister Linda (Dave) Gianntti; nephews Tim and Cam; Brother Jack Richardson (Kristin); Brother Warren Richardson (Mellisa) Nephew Tyler.

 

Myrna was predeceased by her father Robert Calvin Richardson and her mother Edna Mary Park.

 

Cremation has taken place.
