Darlene Eastcott

Obituary of Darlene Eastcott

Darlene was born on August 30, 1950 to Ruth and Horace Young in Brandon Manitoba.  Darlene passed away peacefully in her family’s embrace on Friday, June 2, 2023 in Brandon, Manitoba.

Darlene attended Alexander Elementary and Neelin high school.  She worked over the years as a waitress, MTS, Zellers, and finally as a counsellor at AFM.  Darlene was active in AA and there lays her courage and determination.

“Little Horse” is survived by her brother Ron, his loving wife and their son Travis.  Darlene always shared who she was to him and what he meant to her; his guidance, support, strength, and loyalty to her. If you’ve ever witnessed one of their chats, you would know.  It was never decorated without laughter.

Darlene is survived by her sons: Rob and BJ (Sharane “chosen daughter”); her beautiful granddaughters: Jadyne, Hailey, Sierra and grandsons: Reegan and Riley; and so many more who called her Gramma, and many special friends.

Darlene is predeceased by her Mother Ruth, Father Horace, her son Terrance, very special niece Lindsey, and many furry friends.

A Celebration of Darlene’s Life was held on Friday, June 9 2023.

Donations in memory of Darlene may be made to Funds for Furry Friends, 740 Rosser Avenue, Suite 208, Brandon, MB, R7A 0K9.
