Olga Bernice Slepicka
Olga Slepicka passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, Brandon, Manitoba at the age of 99 years. Olga was born on August 19, 1923 in Michalovka, Czechoslovakia, immigrating to Canada with her family in 1929 where they resided in Minitonas area and attended Lidstone School. Olga married Walter Slepicka on April 16, 1942 and was a member of Cornerstone First Baptist Church in Minitonas for 93 years. Olga loved travelling to places like Hawaii, her home land of Czechoslovakia and parts of Canada and the U.S. Olga was a loving mother and will be forever missed by children; Evelyn, Rose, Larry, Frank and Ron as well as many beloved grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, son Milton, twin infant children, two sisters and four brothers.
A Celebration of Olga’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Interment will be held at the Minitonas Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. A Memorial service will follow at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 266 4th Ave., Minitonas, MB at 1:00 p.m.
