Obituary of Gaston Schwabl

March 18, 1932 - July 27, 2023

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gaston, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who slipped away quietly at Valleyview Care Home. He leaves to mourn his son Wolfgang (Luann), daughter Rita (Robert), daughter-in-law Susan, grandchildren, Christopher, Laura, Jessica, Dawn, Cassandra, and Alexander, and great grandchildren, Vanessa, Markus, Nikolas, and Jordan. Gaston is predeceased by his wife of 52 years Elfreide, and his second son Norbert. Gaston was born in Stuttgart, Germany, came to Canada in 1960 and lived a happy and full life. He will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Special thanks to all of the staff at Valleyview Personal Care Home that took care of his needs.

 

As per Gaston's final wishes, cremation has taken place, and no funeral will be held. Gaston’s request that friends and family gather for a Celebration of Life that will be scheduled for a later date.

Not just left you behind.

Although you can’t be with him right now

He lives on in your heart and mind.

 

The day will come when you’ll meet again

On Heavens distant shore,

And the two will walk hand in hand

Together forever more.
