Obituary of Linda Garson

Linda Garson passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the age of 75 years. Linda was born in the small mining town of South Porcupine in Northern Ontario where she spent her early years. In 1968, she married Bob Garson in the chapel at the RCAF Stn at North Bay, Ontario. They had one son, Andrew, the following year. In 1971, the family moved to the Prince George area for two years and then to Brandon. Linda loved Brandon from the start and joined several organizations such as UCT, Legion WA, Toastmasters and bowling leagues etc. She was also employed part-time at the United Cigar Store, Christie’s Office Supplies and Queen’s Ave Grocery. She made friends very easily. In 2012, after two strokes, she moved to Fairview Personal Care Home. It was there that she passed away due to another stroke. Linda is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Andrew and sister, Gail Drynan as well as several nieces in B.C.

Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Fairview for their care before, during and at the end of her stay. We pray that Linda is in a better place. Thanks also to Rev. Jonathan Hoskins for his prayers.  Cremation has taken place. Special prayers will be said at St. Georges Anglican/Redeemer Lutheran Church on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
