“Smalley Girls”; please accept my sympathy in the death of your Dad. It was always a pleasure to see him at Lion’s Manor or at Clear Lake during one of your family holidays. He was so very proud of you all. He had a keen, lively interest in people and always happy to visit.
I can certainly remember being at your Mom’s funeral in 1980, it was such a loss to you all, so many years ago. You will still have loads of memories from being kids and many years of your Dad & Donna. Take care.

Dear Sandra, Nancy, Linda and Sharon,
I am so sorry for your loss. When your family lived in Gimli, your Mom & Dad were always so good to me, including me in outings and camping trips. I spent a lot of time at your home and have wonderful and cherished memories of your whole family. ❤️

Condolences to the family. Al was an accountant at the Canadian Bank of Commerce in Killarney, Manitoba when I joined the bank in 1958. I hold many great memories of our times together and appreciate the kindness that he and Joyce offered me during that time. Although we never spent much time together in recent years I still think of Al as a good friend.

I was so sad to hear of your Dads recent passing. He was a lovely man, so kind to me and my family and a good friend to my father.
Your Dad and uncle would walk the old campgrounds during your family week at the lake. He always made sure to find me and sit on the porch enjoying coffee and memories.
He was also kind and supportive at Lions Manor, especially during the last few months of Moms life.
My life is richer for having known your Dad and your family!

I grew up next door to Alan's parents and I remember playing with "the girls" when he and Joyce came for visits. When I met Alan years later he was always friendly and outgoing, and he reminded me so much of his late mom, both in looks and in the kind and gentle temperament they shared. My husband's family farmed near Elm Creek and he remembers his parents speaking very highly of Alan when he was bank manager there. Alan was a good and kind person, and the world is a lesser place without him. I offer my sincere sympathy to all his family.
