I first met Bob when he brought his mother Evelyn to see her brother George in Barrie & at the cottage in Georgian Bay.
Next he arrived again when he brought his new bride Margaret down to visit.
After a few years later they returned with their wee family to visit at the cottage. What fun times!
As he has aged he looked more like a LeGear with his mother’s eyes.
I am holding you all in my heart during this hard time and May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Every time we travelled out west we knew that family was there that welcomed us & made us feel fight at home.
Bob was a kind man, a gentle giant who touched everyone he met in some dear way.
I will miss him & his Christmas cards that kept us in touch with everything that was happening with the Janz clan.
Love to all,
Anne Sanguins - daughter of George & Olive LeGear

Many years have gone by since seeing my cousin Bob and his family and siblings. I was only 10 years old when my family drove out west to visit our relatives in Manitoba. Evelyn (Bob's mother) hosted us in her home and Bob and his siblings all gathered to meet their long lost cousins from Ontario. What a vivid memory that was. Bob and his siblings welcomed us with open arms and we felt like we had been close family all of our lives. I remember how gracious Bob was. His kindness and easy going manner drew people to him like bees to honey.
My deepest condolences to the family. A beautiful light has left this world. May we all strive to emulate Bob's legacy of love and spread it to those around us.

So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I walked by their house on my way to school. Bob and my Dad Terry Davies both worked at Simplot for years. Although Teresa, Michelle and Stan were older than me I remember them all as well. My heartfelt sympathy, hugs to you all and your families. Tina Stanley (Davies)

I met Bob many years ago golfing at Glen Lea golf course. We were early morning golfers and would often team up with Bob to make it a threesome. In later years Bob and my late husband Rodney would be the first ones out on the course most weekday mornings. My condolences to Betty and the rest of Bobs family. He was a true gentleman.

I will miss my cousin Bob Janz. He kept me connected to my cousins on my aunt Evelyn's side of the family. Each year, Bob would send me a Christmas card inviting my wife and I to stay with him in Brandon if we were driving from BC to Ontario. Every time when we did visit him, he would invite my other cousins living in Brandon, Judy, Jeanne, Mike and Phil so that we would meet, talk and have a barbecue. It was one of my cherished moments.
I found Bob to be a kind, gentle and hospitable man who had a temperament like his mom, Evelyn.
Our condolences go out to his partner Betty, his family Teresa, Michelle, Stanley and their families, my cousins Judy, Jeanne, Mike, Paul and Phil and their families and to my late cousin David's wife Colleen and her family. May we stay connected.
Love Rick and Deda Le Gear
