Obituary of Craig Pardy
PARDY: It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William "Craig" Pardy on January 22, 2016 at the age of 50 years.
Craig was born on October 25, 1965 in St. John's, Newfoundland to parents Bill and Betty Pardy. He was raised in Paradise, Newfoundland where he attended Paradise Elementary and later graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School in 1982.
One of his earliest and continuing job positions was as a mason with Skinner's Masonry. In 1990 he met the love of his life, Rhonda Dillabough, and after a whirlwind romance they married on July 13, 1991. Joining the family in 1993 came their firstborn, Bradley William Craig, and almost four years later his sister, Taylor Dawn, completed the foursome. Craig's greatest role in life was being a devoted husband and father. Brad and Taylor were his pride and joy, and his greatest moments were spent involved in their daily activities, whether it was acting as caddy for Brad on the golf course, or attending Taylor's volleyball tournaments. Craig's love and dedication to Rhonda and their children was unending. Some of their special times were spent at their cottage at Clear Lake, appropriately named Hearts Content. They also enjoyed trips together to vacation spots in Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Italy, and Marco Island, Florida, all the time making precious and lasting memories.
Friendships were also very important to Craig, and he always looked forward to visits with his "brudders" in Newfoundland, Thursday night golf with his Brandon buddies at Sunnyside, and a regular weekly Friday lunch date with the "F.A.G." His friendships were numerous, and his impact was greatly felt by all those close to him.
Craig and Rhonda moved from Newfoundland to Brandon in 1993 where Craig became employed with Craftsmen Painting, followed by a two and a half year job position as a salesman with Murray Chev-Olds. Being as cars were always a passion of Craig's, he thoroughly enjoyed going to work each day.
On the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary, Craig and Rhonda received the exciting news that they'd been accepted as Tim Hortons Brandon franchisees. Their first store opened on November 30, 2001, with an additional five restaurants in operation by 2012. Both Craig and Rhonda loved their Timmies adventure, and took great pride, not only in their business, but also in the amazing team of employees who gave them their full dedication and support. This opportunity was their dream come true and they were rewarded throughout the years by special recognition for their efforts. Craig's huge smile and welcoming personality was well known to all the customers.
Left to mourn with immense sadness is his beloved wife of almost 25 years, Rhonda, son Brad, daughter Taylor and chosen son Coltyn Bates; mother Betty Pardy, sisters Kim Slade (Ed), Marlene Gentry (Terry) and their son Alex, brother Frank (Kerry) and his children Devin and Haley, and special cousin Norma Kilfoy.
Also greatly missing Craig are Mom #2 (mother-in-law) Gloria Dillabough; sister-in-law Marci Crisanti and children Greg (Carrie) and Lindsay, brother-in-law Allan Dillabough and Darlene and their children Jordyn, Robyn and Jayden, aunts, uncles and families and many treasured friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Bill Pardy (1992), father-in-law Merv Dillabough (2011), and his best friend and "brother" Vince Crisanti (2015). We know Craig is experiencing not only peace, but immeasurable joy in being reunited with these loved ones.
The funeral service to honour Craig's life was held at Central United Church, 327-8th Street, Brandon, MB on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Ken DeLisle officiating. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.

Rest Easy, Craig.
